Valli-Ca’ Bianca Chioggia waste water collection lines

Work execution period:  2006 - 2008

Client: A.S.P. Chioggia

Activities:  Detailed Design and Final Design

Amount:  2.2 million Euros

This project required the construction of a new system for the collection of the waste waters discharged in the hamlet of Valli di Chioggia and their conveyance to Ca’ Bianca  and the Val di Rio water treatment plant. The 280 mm OD line in HD PE 100 PN10 of total 4110 m length required two pumping stations, one at the head and one at the halfway point. A new  water supply line in substitution of the obsolete  and insufficient line  was required at the same time for the expansion and improvement of service from the Ca’ Bianca pumping station to the hamlet of Valli di Chioggia. Connection to the existing pressurization system was made halfway along the 4350 m length of the ND 200mm spheroidal graphite cast-iron  pipeline. The project also required crossings of drainage ditches, canals, and rivers, parts of which suspended or bracketed to the decks  of road bridges, other parts of which laid underground, in addition to flanking and crossing of provincial roads. The crossing of the River Brenta previously crossed by a tube bridge required the construction of a new bicycle-pedestrian path in wood and steel 113 m long housing the sewer and water lines at its sides.
